Abstract

The study aims to identify artificial intelligence technologies and reflect their use on criminal investigation and justice. The importance of the study lies in the growing use of AI technologies in the face of crime and reducing it through the use of AI techniques in the analysis of large amounts of data as quickly as possible with high accuracy and craftsmanship. The problem with the study is to answer the question of what is the role of artificial intelligence in reducing crime? The researchers used the analytical descriptive approach. The two researchers reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which being: artificial intelligence enhances the ability of judicial control officers to play a preventive role in preventing crimes from occurring through predictability and taking measures to prevent them. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a means of enhancing the evidence provided by the Judicial Control Officer at the investigative and evidentiary stage, reflecting the strength of criminal evidence and achieving justice. AI technologies enhance the stability of the public system. The researchers recommend: calling on government and private institutions in Palestinian society to raise citizens’ awareness of the benefits of artificial intelligence technologies and their importance in combating crime. To call on the Palestinian legislator to enact a law regulating the production, development and use of artificial intelligence technologies, in accordance with privacy and human rights. Call on law enforcement agencies in Palestine to increase the level of training of their cadres in the use of AI technologies as they continue to evolve. Call on the Palestinian legislature to open up international cooperation in the use of artificial intelligence techniques in the fight against crime and the exchange of information, in particular crime, electronic and transnational.
