Abstract

Green supply chain management (GSCM) is a modern management topic, which is considered an important and organized input for improving the performance of organizations regarding the environmental aspect. The need for it has emerged as a result of globalization, and the resulting offering of many options to buyers, so that attention to environmental issues has become an important aspect for the excellence of institutions and their products, as well as for influencing consumer decisions This has become increasingly prominent in recent decades as a result of the increasing influence of some countries on organizations to focus on the environment and enact the necessary laws and legislation. Therefore, the research aims to measure the impact of GSCM practices on the sustainable performance (SP) of Palestinian industrial companies with a focus on the economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Data were collected from 155 administrators in 14 Palestinian industrial companies with ISO 14000 certification. The research has relied on PLS SEM partial least squares structural equation modeling, to measure the impact of GSCM practices on SP. The results showed that the level of implementation of green practices was average, with a higher focus on green logistics and internal environmental management; sustainable economic performance was highest, followed by sustainable environmental performance and then sustainable social performance, reflecting the priority of profits in These companies; GSCM practices had a positive and moral impact on sustainable performance. The research recommends the need to promote green technology, educate suppliers and workers, and enact government policies that support sustainability. It also highlights the importance of integrating sustainability into companies’ strategies to improve competitiveness at the local and global levels. The current research is an important contribution to the literature on sustainability in challenging environments, such as Palestine, and provides a practical framework for promoting green practices in the industrial sector.
