Strategic Agility and its impact on improving Employee’s Performance: The mediating role of empowerment in Ministry of Wakf and Religious Affairs

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of strategic agility in its dimensions (strategic sensitivity, strategic responsiveness, strategic clarity, core capabilities) in improving employee’s performance in its dimensions (performance size, performance quality, knowledge of job requirements), and to identify the mediating role of empowerment in explaining the impact of strategic agility in Improving the employee’s performance in the Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs. The study population consisted of (280) employees from the top and middle managemen levels in the Ministry of waqf and its directorates, and a sample of (162) individuals was identifie according to the method of Proportional stratified random sampling, To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the quantitative (descriptive and analytical) approach, and designe questionnaire to collect data needed for the study, and several Statistical methods were used, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, in addition to the (PLS) prog The study led to a set of results, the most important of which are: There is a direct impact of strategic agility on the performance of Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs employees arising from the ability that agility gives employees, especially in core capabilities and strategic clarity. Empowerment improves the impact of strategic agility on employee performance. The more empowerment improves, the greater the impact of agility on performance. Finally, the study showed an indirect effect of empowerment in improving employee performance, meaning that empowerment acts as a catalyst for performance and response, and therefore empowerment needs to be treated as one of the ministry’s core capabilities.
